Ten reasons why you should go for something that is outside of your comfort zone:
It increases your ability to do more in your life; your comfort zone gets bigger and bigger to make many things comfortable rather than more things uncomfortable to you
It increases your emotional, mental and physical abilities - these grow because a different version of you is required of you for something that is beyond your comfort zone
You become an inspiration to others but you get to inspire yourself, be proud of yourself and love your abilities, determination and perseverance
You build on a trait called ‘resilience’, which is key for dealing with and meeting stressful challenges head on
It creates an opportunity to learn more about yourself, what makes you pause and consider things, and what makes you excited and go steam rolling ahead with joy
It makes life really freaking exciting and magical - going for things that you didn’t think were possible gives you a rush/boost/energetic lift - it makes you feel like ANYTHING is possible (and let me tell you my friend, anything really is possible)
It makes other opportunities and possibilities seem more realistic and achievable when you start to achieve things that you previously thought weren’t possible for you. What you had put in the ‘this is difficult’ pot, now needs to be rearranged into a different pot because if you can achieve x, then what makes other things ‘difficult’? Your perception of ‘difficult’ changes.
You unleash your true capabilities that have been dormant (aka taking a lil nap and waiting patiently for you to wake the f up) and this moves you towards the best version of you, the real you
To live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling - our life is our own and as adults we can become stuck in the monotony of work, eat, sleep, repeat (borrrinnggggg). Who wants that when you can have adventures, freedom, excitement and magic!
Recreate new belief systems. As you move towards actioning what is outside of your comfort zone, you are dismantling old belief systems like ‘you don’t have the time’ or ‘you’re not worthy of that’ and recreating new more empowering belief systems. Overtime as you start to believe differently, you start to think differently and then act in according to the new belief systems - as someone who perhaps believes in themselves more or feels more worthy.
